Q: Is it totally against tradition for the bride to make a speech on her wedding day? I`ve never seen it done at other weddings I`ve attended, but I`d really like to have my say. Firstly, I feel it would take a lot of pressure off my husband-to-be and there are people, like my mom and dad, that I would really like to thank personally for all they`ve done for me.

A: You go ahead and make that speech! It probably will make your groom feel better if he is not the only one put on the spot, but be careful you don`t upstage the poor fellow.
